Alexander Sinclair first traveled to Guatemala in the summer of 2007. This trip precipitated two theses, one in Spanish, about tourism in Guatemala for his bachelor’s degree from Roger Williams University. He later returned while studying micro-credit at Westfield State University. His Master’s thesis was used to earn a grant from the university to fund the MicroLending program at LWH. Alexander returns twice each year to select new borrowers for this program. Stateside, Alexander is a stay-at-home father to Sandy. He and his wife, Dr. Stephanie, took her on a medical trip to Long Way Home’s campus in Comalapa when she was seven months old.

Elizabeth Rose first became involved with Long Way Home in August 2005 when she and her family visited Parque Chimiyá, the recreational facility that LWH built before Técnico Chixot. Elizabeth served as President of the Board of Directors from December 2008 to December 2013. She founded the Rubbish to Runway ReFashion Show to fundraise for LWH in 2010.She has Master's Degrees from Boston University in Clinical Social Work and from Antioch University New England in Conservation Biology. She is delighted that LWH emphasizes sustainability in all of its projects.

Yessenia Morales is a resident of Houston, Texas where she graduated with a Bachelor's in Corporate Communications from the University of Houston. She has six years of experience in the communications field along with involvement with non-profit organizations. Morales has a passion for giving back and has been the director for the Houston Rubbish to Runway ReFashion Show for three years now. She currently serves as a board member.

Danny’s first official duty for Long Way Home was driving a donated truck from the United States to Comalapa in 2009. He stayed in-country for four months and during that period he made a long-term commitment to the success of the organization. His background in international management, experience in Latin American politics, and educational background have made him an integral part of LWH.

Danny holds a Master's in Pacific International Affairs from the Graduate School of International Relations/Pacific Studies at UC San Diego. He currently is a realtor serving the Greater Los Angeles area.

Jeremy was introduced to Long Way Home by executive director, Matt Paneitz, on a chicken bus in Nicaragua. They bonded while hiking volcanoes, and discussing the importance of education in developing countries. Prior to sitting on the LWH board, Jeremy's involvement included recruiting volunteers, planning fundraisers, and participating in the construction of the school in Guatemala.
Jeremy has a bachelor's degree in Philosophy from the University of Colorado. He enjoys traveling, spending time with his dog, Sienna, and growing technology startups in Denver, CO.
