Join Hero School teachers and students working alongside our incredible building team to complete community projects! Students apply the social studies, math, and sciences they learn in the classroom to complete a number of projects in the community.

We will be building a:

• Dry Composting Latrine

  • To improve sanitary conditions

• Water Tenaco (Cistern)

  • To provide water security

• Retaining Wall

  • To prevent erosions in rainy season

• Improved Stove

  • To lessen the respiratory hazards of cooking

By joining us you will be supporting our students in their journey of education for sustainable development and helping the larger community improve conditions prevalent to so many Guatemalan families! You’ll also learn a lot about green building and eco friendly living along the way.
